Washington Trust to Host a Panel on Financial Independence at the 2019 Bryant University Women’s Summit®

Smithfield, Rhode Island – The Washington Trust Company is pleased to announce that four of the Company’s Trusted Advisors will be participating in the 2019 Bryant University Women’s Summit® in Smithfield, Rhode Island on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 9:45 am EDT. The four women, including Laurel Bowerman, Vice President, Commercial Real Estate; Janell Hayes Bruno, Vice President, Mortgage Loan Officer; Holly Thompson Knott, CFP®, Vice President, Wealth Management Planning Officer; and Cynthia Valenti Smith, Vice President, Mortgage Lending, will host a panel entitled “Own It! Embracing Your Financial Independence.”

The panel, which has been created for women at all stages of life, will feature a candid conversation on how women can take charge of their financial independence. Whether planning for a dream retirement, looking forward to home ownership, starting a business, or moving out of debt, the session is framed to help women discover their own wealth and give them the insight needed to “Own It.”

The mission of the annual Bryant University Women’s Summit® is to empower women professionally, personally, and financially. Through the years the Summit has incorporated current trends in education, leadership, entrepreneurship, communication, diversity, health, wellness, technology and financial topics in order to provide educationally enriching breakout sessions which support its attendees professional and personal aspirations. The theme of this year’s Summit is “Move Forward – Make Change Happen.”
