Washington Trust Hires Mortgage Loan Officer to Service Connecticut Shoreline and Beyond

Westerly, RI - The Washington Trust Company is pleased to announce that Brad Thorpe of Old Saybrook, CT has been hired as a Mortgage Loan Officer. Thorpe will work to serve the mortgage needs of Old Saybrook and the surrounding shoreline area, developing and deepening referral relationships and originating mortgage loans.

Thorpe will be joining the team of experienced mortgage professionals who are dedicated to helping borrowers through all stages of life by providing customized, comprehensive financing and personalized services. Washington Trust offers a full range of mortgage solutions, including fixed rate, adjustable rate, first time homebuyer, construction, and reverse mortgages, as well as home equity loans and lines of credit.

Thorpe joins Washington Trust with more than 14 years of lending experience in the banking industry. He began his career as a mortgage professional at People’s United Bank where he served homebuyers and investors throughout the New England and New York regions. He joins Washington Trust from Wells Fargo where he was most recently a Private Mortgage Banker.

Thorpe is deeply engaged in his hometown of Old Saybrook. He is a current member and previous Vice Chairman of the Board of Finance for the Town, and previously served on the Board of Education, where he sat on the Building Committee and served as Chairman of the Budget Committee. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Pilgrim Pines Conference Center.
